- 1.96" AMOLED · square face
- Take calls right on the wrist
- Faces and alerts set in Wearfit Pro
Every Wearfit Pro watch follows the same short routine: a long press to wake it, a handful of swipes to reach the menus, and the phone app to read heart rate and sleep. From the first glow of the screen to a full factory reset, in plain English.
Refreshed September 2026Hold the side button for about three seconds to switch a Wearfit Pro watch on; if the screen stays dark, set it on its charger first. Swipe from the edges of the dial to reach alerts, shortcuts and the app menu, and reset it from Settings after removing it in the Wearfit Pro app.
A new Wearfit Pro watch often arrives with its battery asleep, so the first move belongs to the charger rather than the button. Clip the watch onto its magnetic cable, plug the USB end into a laptop or a phone adapter, and wait for the battery icon to light up.
That icon means the watch is awake. Hold the side button for about three seconds and the start-up logo appears. Some models start by themselves the moment they feel power.
Switching off has two routes. Most models place a power icon in Settings, often inside a System menu. Others show a power-off prompt after a long press on the side button, and a tap confirms it.
| Move | What it usually opens | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| Long press on the side button | Switches the watch on; on a running watch, the power-off or restart prompt | A flat battery needs the charger before the button does anything |
| Short press on the side button | Wakes the screen, or jumps back to the watch face | Also backs out of any menu |
| Swipe down from the top | Quick toggles such as brightness and do-not-disturb | On some models this opens the message list instead |
| Swipe up from the bottom | Recent notifications | The order of these two panels differs by model |
| Swipe left or right | Widget cards: heart rate, sleep, steps, weather | Cards can be reordered on many models |
| Press and hold the watch face | The face picker | Faces sent from the app land here too |
| Turn the crown | Scrolls lists and the app grid | The E07 and Z17 both list a dial among their controls |
Common Wearfit Pro layouts; menus shift a little between models and firmware versions. The printed manual in the box has the final word for a given watch.
Once the watch face is up, four swipes and one button do nearly everything. The layout is shared across most Wearfit Pro watches, whether the face is the big square of the AOC E07 or the round 1.43-inch dial of the Z17 and AW83.
A few models swap the top and bottom panels, so give each edge a try on day one. The pattern sticks after an afternoon of wear.
Controls differ slightly between the three watches. The E07 and Z17 both list buttons, a dial and the touchscreen among their inputs, so a turn of the crown scrolls long menus without smudging the glass. The Yihou AW83 adds gesture control and raise-to-wake: lift the wrist and the face lights up for a glance at the time.
Changing the look starts with a long press on the watch face itself. The face picker opens, a swipe moves between designs, and a tap sets one. Photo faces and new designs come from the app; the watch faces how-to covers making one from your own picture.

Heart rate on a Wearfit Pro watch comes from the green lights on the back of the case. They shine into the skin and read the tiny changes in blood flow with each beat, the same optical method nearly every fitness watch uses.
That method depends on fit more than anything else. A watch that slides around lets daylight under the sensor and the number jumps. A snug strap, one finger's width above the wrist bone, keeps the reading steady.
A manual check lives in the heart rate app on the watch: open it, keep the arm relaxed, and the figure settles after a short wait. All-day tracking is a switch in the Wearfit Pro app, under the health monitoring settings. The Z17 tracks heart rate 24 hours a day and keeps a week of data to show longer trends.
The E07 reads heart rate, stress and women's health data, and adds guided breathing for a calmer minute at the desk. The AW83 tracks heart rate, sleep and stress around the clock and shows 7-day trends.
The Z17 logs deep, light and REM sleep and keeps a week of heart rate history on the watch. Its round 1.43-inch AMOLED sits on a soft 20mm silicone strap that stays comfortable from dinner to breakfast.
Have a lookSleep tracking on a Wearfit Pro watch needs no button at all. Wear the watch to bed, and it reads movement and heart rate through the night, then hands the log to the phone the next time the app connects.
The morning routine is short: open Wearfit Pro, let it sync for a moment, and the night appears as bars of deep, light and awake time. If the chart is empty, the app was closed or Bluetooth was off overnight; the watch keeps the data until it syncs.
| Watch | Sleep data | Other health readings |
|---|---|---|
| AOC E07 | Sleep monitor | Heart rate, stress, women's health, guided breathing |
| AOC Z17 | Deep, light and REM stages, duration | 24-hour heart rate, a week of history, stress |
| Yihou AW83 | Sleep quality | Heart rate, stress, 7-day trends |
Comfort decides whether the watch stays on all night. The stock silicone strap works; a soft nylon loop feels lighter against the skin and breathes better in summer.
A week of nights says more than a single one. Look for the pattern: bedtimes that drift, short deep phases after late coffee, or a steady rhythm worth keeping.
A factory reset wipes faces, contacts, alarms and health history from the watch and returns it to its first-day state. It is the right move before a watch changes hands, and the last resort when pairing refuses to work.
Order matters. Reset the watch first and the app may still hold the old link, which blocks the next pairing. Work from the phone side inward:
After the restart, the watch waits for a fresh pairing, as on the first day. The call pairing steps explain the second Bluetooth link if calls stop ringing on the wrist afterwards.
Try a plain restart before any reset. A long press on the side button, a restart from the power menu, or a few minutes on the charger clears most frozen screens and stuck menus without losing a single face.
Hold the side button for about three seconds until the start-up logo appears. A new or flat watch needs 20 to 30 minutes on its charger first, and some models switch on by themselves once they feel power.
Open Settings on the watch and tap the power icon, often inside a System menu. On some models a long press on the side button brings up a power-off prompt instead.
Remove the watch in the Wearfit Pro app and forget it in your phone's Bluetooth settings, then choose Reset or Restore factory settings in the watch's Settings. It restarts ready for a fresh pairing.
The AOC E07, AOC Z17 and Yihou AW83 each ship with a printed user manual and a charging cable; the two AOC watches add a second strap and a cleaning wipe.
Usually the fit. Wear the watch snug, one finger's width above the wrist bone, keep the sensor clean and hold still during a manual reading.
